Disaster Robotics Plant Disaster Prevention Challenge Inspecting or maintaining infrastructures based on set standards (e.g.opening/closing valves)
Tunnel Disaster Response and Recovery Challenge Collecting information and providing emergency response in case of a tunnel disaster (e.g. life-saving, removing obstacles from tunnels)
Standard Disaster Robotics Challenge Assessing standard performance levels (e.g. mobility, sensing, information collection, wireless communication, remote control on-site deployment, durability, etc.) required in disaster prevention and responses
Junior
(Teams of members aged 19 or younger)
School Robot Challenge Programming the standard platform robot to perform tasks that aim to make school lives better.
Home Robot Challenge Developing and programming robots that solve challenges to improve our home environments.

Awards/Prize

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each challenge will be awarded. Awards and prize from robotics related societies will be also given.(Under consideration)


Travel/Transportation Support

Travel allowances and transportation costs might be granted up to certain amount to the participating teams after screening of the documents.
Please note that such costs are not necessarily granted to all teams.

  • Please note that there's a possibility those above-mentioned requirements will change in the future.
    For entry requirements to Japan, please refer to the website of the Immigration Bureau of Japan.
  • *1 There is no age limit for members of the team except for the Junior category. However, each team must have at least one member over 20 years old.
    The maximum number of members allowed in the team paddock should be 10 people or less.
  • *2 The team can not change robots for each task with the exception of alternative machine. The team can change robot parts such as hands.
